The v4.1 upgrade is here...
A low-key celebration of my birthday.
Last week, I celebrated my 41st birthday. As with most of my birthdays, it was a pretty low-key affair. I took a couple of days off and made it into an extended long weekend. Jo was working on one day so I just chilled at home, got some house chores done.
For the next day, Jo took the day off as well and we made it my birthday celebration day. We went over to the city to start off with some breakkie. After a quick glance at different options available, we chose Haven Coffee in Darling Quarter to grab breakfast. Haven are known for their coffee and bagels, so no surprise we ordered them. Their Blueberry bagel was sold out, we ordered an Avo & Cucumber bagel (with chimichurri sauce) and Chicken Yuzu Bagel, with Jo getting her traditional almond flat white and me my cappuccino. We split the bagels and went for the avo & cucumber bagel first, assuming the chicken bagel to be the more palatable of the two. Surprise, surprise, the avo & cucumber bagel was the better of the two. The coffees were fabulous and some of the best we had - no wonder it has such high rating.

Breakfast at Haven Coffee
Our movie was soon after this - for my birthday gift, I asked Jo to get us a couple of tickets for Project Hail Mary on IMAX. The theatre was just around the corner, but we still had about 40 minutes to kill so we walked by Darling Harbour and just sat by.

The movie had a 2 and a half hour runtime, so we were there till about mid-day. The movie was quite enjoyable and despite some annoying niggles, I enjoyed the movie very much. Jo told me she liked it as well. From here, we decided to head back home as I had to reach in time for my driving class. On the way back, we stopped by QVB where Jo picked up some dark chocolates from Koko.
The driving class went pretty well - and after that we had an early dinner and I played some Path of Exile. Like I said, pretty low key day, just as I like it. There were plenty of wishes from friends and family - appreciate them all.
