Grilling
Quick thoughts on the Weber Family Q+ Barbecue (Model Q3200n+).
We bought the Weber Family Q+ (Model Q3200n+) a little over two months ago and it’s been one of the best purchases we made. Adding the Bunnings Mimosa chair, rectangular table and the cushion has made our backyard a nice little corner to grill and eat even during these cold winters. Having an outdoor heater I think will make it ever better. Here’s what it looks like.

I’ve had zero input in the decisions, so all of these were researched and chosen by Jo. She did ask if I thought it’d look ok.
While at Home Heat And BBQ outlet, we were deciding between the Weber Family Q and the Spirit- the Spirit looked a lot sturdier for outdoor use but chatting with the sales rep there, he told us of the downside of the Spirit being a lot more painful to clean up. That made us look at and ultimately purchase the Weber Family Q - even though it was a bit cheaper and the plastic side tables seemed a lot more fiddly.

Two months on, we've been pretty happy with the purchase. The side tables have been pretty decent and held up the weight of a few plates, meats, barbeque tongs and such without any fuss. Since we've got the cover, I've been able to pull them out and slide them down to put the cover on. From a cleaning point of view, the concave cavity feeding into the drip tray at the bottom combined with the scraper has made cleaning up cruft an easy task. Since the purchase we've use the grill at least twice a week, week on week so pretty happy with the purchase.

Some of the different meats we’ve done on the grill
Couple of weeks ago. we bought the full hotplate and have been using it for breakfast options as well - was amazed how fast I could do couple of bagels, bacon, and fried eggs in under 10 minutes (~20 if you include the recommended time to preheat). Jo used it to make dosas and pancakes and was quite happy with the speed as well.

I've not yet ventured into the steak territory yet - that'll probably for sometime in later half of the year. The cart makes it easy to fold and move it to the corner of the backyard. Overall, a great purchase.
